Need more than one implant?
Multiple implants are one of the most recognised and recommended solutions for patients suffering from several missing teeth.
They permanently anchor replacement teeth, leaving patients with a new, transformed smile that matches the original.
Multiple implants provide patients with a better solution to dentures or partial dentures, which can help you avoid common complaints around discomfort and difficulty eating or speaking.
Why you should not ignore gaps in the mouth!
Various oral health problems and consequences can arise as a direct outcome of losing multiple teeth.
When gaps go ignored, your jawbone can recede, which causes further tooth loss and cause facial sagging.
The longer you leave gaps in your mouth, the more likely you will require pre-implant procedures like sinus lifts or bone grafts to qualify for multiple implant treatment in the future. Learn more about the consequences here.

What is a dental implant? The procedure
Multiple implants use titanium screws that are placed securely into the jawbone, acting like an artificial tooth root.
Once healed, a crown or a bridge can hook onto the implant providing long-lasting, natural-looking results you won’t find anywhere else.
Multiple Implant Process
The procedure is relatively straightforward for our experienced implant dentists.
Multiple implants can take anywhere from 3-5 hours to place and require no general anaesthetic.
During the healing stage, temporary teeth can be placed until the final restoration a few months later.
Once the implant and the jaw have fused together, an abutment is then applied to the implant to hold your new replacement teeth in position.
The crown or bridge is secured to the top, completing the restoration and fully replacing your missing teeth.
The colour of your crown will be carefully colour-matched by your dentist ensuring an overall improved natural appearance.

In this case, the patient required multiple implants on the upper jaw to replace gaps caused by tooth decay. Dr Ali Rifai was able to fully restore his mouth within six months, leaving the patient feeling very happy with the results.
Treatment solutions for multiple missing teeth
Implant-supported crowns: Often prescribed when single teeth are missing from different parts of the mouth and you have some natural teeth positioned in between.
Implant-supported bridge: Perfect when several teeth are missing in a row next to each other. Implant-retained bridges, in this case, are the more affordable solution. More.
Multiple implants: Effectively single implants are positioned singularly throughout the mouth – however, we can offer these at different prices.
All-on-four: This is where implants can be placed on the same day and will not require additional procedures to make it happen. More.

Implant cost FAQ
Implant dentistry is not redeemable via the NHS, they are more likely to prescribe cheaper alternatives like dentures.
Whilst you will have to check with your particular provider, insurance typically does not cover the cost of dental implants. However, as dental implants are now more recognised for their durability, insurers are beginning to recognise their quality. More.
Patients have the option to pay for their treatment interest-free for a period of 24 months.
