Chances are, if you’ve landed on this page, you need a dental bridge because you either have one or more missing teeth, which still have healthy adjacent teeth on either side, and you’re looking to close the gap. If that’s the case, dental bridges at our East Molesey, Surrey clinic cost from £795 to £990. Dental bridges last from 5 to 15 years.
What are dental bridges?
Dental bridges are designed to bridge gaps in your mouth and involve replacing a missing tooth with a false tooth bonded to the natural teeth on either side of the hole. Our dentists work alongside prosthetic dentists during each procedure step to ensure the dental bridge functions perfectly and looks natural. Our experienced dentists at Gentle Dental are always available to provide 24/7 emergency or same-day appointments.
Dental Bridge Types
Porcelain Bridge
Replacing 1-3 teeth
Suitable to replace teeth if you have healthy teeth remaining.
Implants Bridges
Multiple tooth replacement
Typically used in cases of multiple tooth loss where several teeth are missing in a row.

Dental bridges are available using 0% finance over 12 months or longer interest-bearing terms of 14.9% up to 60 months. For example, patients could pay from £66.25 using 12 months of interest-free finance or £18.48 over 60 months. Dental insurance is also accepted.
Dental bridges are ideal for patients with either one missing tooth or one three in a row who still have healthy teeth (or even an implant) on either side of the gap.
The only requirement to be a dental bridge candidate is to have teeth remaining on either side of the gap, which we can place a crown on top of to anchor your prosthetic (bridge).
Even though they’re not the only tooth replacement method available, dental bridges are often the recommended solution when:
- Patients want a permanent, non-removable solution to multiple missing teeth.
- Patients want a more cost-effective solution to dental implants.
- Patients prefer a less invasive procedure compared to dental implants.
- The abutment teeth that will support the bridge are not strong enough.
- Patients exhibiting extensive tooth decay or gum disease.
- Patients who want a solution that does not rely on the support of otherwise healthy teeth.
- Too many consecutive teeth are missing, so you might need an implant bridge instead.
Not only do implants have cosmetic benefits, but they also encourage the growth and repair of new bone in the jaw, improving the overall condition of your oral health.
When we lose a tooth, the surrounding bone begins to break down. With a dental implant, you can prevent or even reverse the effects of bone loss.
Dental implants are also long-lasting and can be maintained for upwards of 20 years with the correct aftercare.
24-hour emergency appointments for bridge repairs
Although dental bridges are very sturdy, they may weaken, chip or crack. While a broken bridge may not be as painful as a natural broken tooth, the break will allow bacteria to enter your dental bridge, leading to further oral hygiene problems.
We offer same-day dental bridge restorations to our patients, guaranteeing that they will not be in pain for longer than necessary. As we specialise in restorative dentistry, Gentle Dental uses the latest and most advanced technology to repair broken bridges.
Ceramic CEREC restorations, for exampe, from start to finish, only take a few hours.
CEREC dental bridges are created by cutting a bridge from a single block of dental ceramic using 3D scanning capabilities. Once the restoration has been created, one of our dentists will attach the bridge using dental composite cement.
The typical dental bridge procedure
- Requires at least two visits to the dentist
- Each appointment might take up to 2 hours
- The process could take up to two weeks
During your first visit, the dentist will prepare the abutment teeth, which will serve as the bridge’s anchor.
The teeth, which otherwise be healthy, will need reshaping and filing down, where we will remove a portion of the tooth to make room for a dental crown.
Impressions will also be taken during this appointment to create a model, which will be the basis for your custom bridge, pontic(s) and crown(s).
In the meantime, temporary bridges can be placed to protect the exposed gums and teeth while your bridge is being made.
During your second visit, we’ll remove the temporary bridge, place your new custom-made bridge and adjust it until it fits perfectly. Once we confirm the fit, we’ll firmly cement the bridge permanently into place.
