CEREC Single Visit Crowns & Veneers

The Gentle Dental Practice, East Molesey, Surrey

We are delighted to be able to offer you same day crowns and inlays using the Cerec system.

For most people when you need a larger restoration than a straight forward filling it has often meant a further two or three visits to the dentist and quite a lot of time. For some time we have realised that our patients do require more convenience than this, they want a great, good looking, functional restoration but a bit quicker please!

Cerec is the way forward with this, it means in just one visit you can come along, have your tooth prepared for the restoration required and then sit back. We then switch all the attention to the Cerec machine. You can relax with a cup of coffee while we instruct the Cerec machine to construct your new tooth. Not everyone wants to watch this but you are most welcome to.

Once the Cerec machine has done its work we then fit the crown/inlay for you and you can leave with your tooth restored to its natural beauty and great functionality.

What is CEREC Teeth in a Day?

Cerec is a method of CAD/CAM dentistry developed in Switzerland in 1980 and has been used by Dr Rifai for several years now. Our patients appreciate the reduction in time spent in restoring their teeth and of course the up to date use of technology for a quality restoration.

The use of top quality milling materials ensure a hard wearing and of course, an aesthetically pleasing result.

There is no need to return for a second or third visit as is usual when having a crown or an inlay, our patients appreciate the extra convenience.

The CEREC Teeth in a Day Process

If you have a tooth that requires a crown or an inlay we will discuss the various methods available to restore your tooth along with the costs. Once you have made a decision to undergo a Cerec restoration al we need is one appointment for you.

You attend and Dr Rifai will prepare your tooth for the restoration and take impressions. We then transfer these three dimensional images to the Cerec machine.

It is now time for you to have a rest and perhaps a cup of coffee whilst the Cerec milling machine does its job. It will mill a crown or inlay from a tooth coloured ceramic block following instructions from Dr Rifai. Once this is complete he is ready to cement your new crown/inlay in place.

It really is that easy, a further thirty minutes in the chair and you will leave with your tooth restored to look and feel like a new tooth, aesthetcally pleasing with great functionality.
