18 Dec What will 2018 bring?
As a year draws to a close it is useful to review the year and think about the next. This is often a time to consider better health and better fitness, and dental health will be considered too.
Is it time to make 2018 the year you had better teeth and gums or perhaps you have decided that the time is right for that Smile Transformation you have always promised yourself?
What is a Smile Transformation?
It can be anything from a simple filling or a tooth whitening treatment right through to more complex changes and involved treatments. The secret is in understanding what the problem is and then what possible solutions lie ahead.
Solutions – does that mean there is more than one way?
Absolutely, there will be several ways to achieve an improvement in your smile. Dr Ali Rifai, the practice principal dental surgeon, will spend time with you to discuss your concerns and to get a real understanding of you and what treatments would be suitable for you. He will then investigate and carry out an examination, with x-rays or scans and then show you his findings.
There is rarely one solution, although you may find yourself drawn to one solution. Ali will discuss all the pros and cons of each direction before you make a decision.
Can all the care be carried out at The Gentle Dental?
Yes usually, that is the beauty of The Gentle Dental, we have built a practice where you can access most services you require under one roof. This could be
- Tooth Straightening
- Crowns and Bridges
- Tooth Whitening
- Hygiene and Gum Care
- Replacement of missing teeth using Dental Implants
- Cerec inlays/onlays
What if I can’t make a decision?
Not to worry, this is quite usual and is why we will spend time to help you with your choices. You will not feel under any obligation to reach a quick decision as we want you to be happy with your treatment of choice. You will also have access to be able to discuss this further with our team as often questions come to mind just as you get home and you’ve left the surgery!! Danielle is also very knowledgeable and able to answer most of your queries without you having to make a further appointment, so do call and have a chat with her should you need to.
What about time scales?
Again, all treatments will take different amounts of time and vary from person to person too. Dr Rifai will be able to give you an approximate time frame for completion of your treatment and certainly we will need to know about any specific events or functions you are looking towards having your treatment completed prior to.
All that is required is for you to arrange an appointment and start the discussion towards a fresher, brighter, bolder you for 2018!! Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you in 2018!
