When it comes to choosing the right Invisalign provider, it can be confusing to know who to put your trust in.
Especially when you are unaware of the varying distinction levels awarded by the world-class straightening system.
Here at The Gentle Dental, we are proud to declare that we have been awarded Platinum Elite status by Invisalign.
A Platinum Elite provider is one of the highest accreditations Invisalign provides.
This means Gentle Dental is one of very few dentists in Europe who have successfully completed hundreds of Invisalign cases.
So, in this blog post, we thought we would break down all the distinctions of qualified Invisalign orthodontists, so you can make a better-informed decision about which practice to choose for treatment.
In orthodontistry, credentials are essential – and to protect the integrity of their system, Invisalign has formulated specific tiers to rank orthodontists and their ability to deliver the smile you’ve been dreaming of.
In the world of orthodontics, not every clinic is lucky enough to receive plaudits from Invisalign – this is because it requires a lot of time dedicated to the system, where dentists have to achieve specific quotas.
The Invisalign rating system is based on the number of cases the dentist treats every year rather than on their specific skill.
For example, certain practices might be new to offering the transparent braces system, which means they would start without provider status or as a Bronze Provider (depending on the number of cases treated).
Whilst your status only rises the more cases you treat, certain dentists might prefer other straightening systems like CFast that they might offer the patient instead.
Here at the Gentle Dental, we always make the best effort to recommend the best treatment for the patient rather than solely push for Invisalign.
But as Invisalign is often the procedure of choice and one of the most cost-effective, patients usually prefer to opt for invisible aligners.
With all that being said, a consultation is often the best way to learn about our expertise and precisely what we can do for you. Book here.
What does it mean to be a bronze provider?
Bronze providers of Invisalign usually achieve the minimum yearly requirement to be an Invisalign-approved dentist.
Gold Providers of Invisalign have to treat 25 cases every six months, bringing the total of annual cases to 50.
As a Silver Provider, there is only a minimum of 10 Invisalign cases every year that dentists need to complete.
To be a Platinum Provider, like us at the Gentle Dental, you must complete more than 50 Invisalign procedures in six months.
Dentists will also need to have treated a total of 300 lifetime patients, so orthodontists like us, who have reached this level, are considered in the industry to be Invisalign experts.
As we have become one of the top providers of Invisalign in the London area, we expect to emerge into Diamond Provider status, the highest certification Invisalign provides.
To maintain this status and qualification, Invisalign dentists must complete 150+ orthodontic cases annually.
Due to their higher skill level, this particular group of dentists we are proud to be part of is part of the top 1% of dentists worldwide.
The choice is yours to make. You will not pay more money for an Invisalign expert than you would for a Bronze Provider.
Patients should choose to go with dentists they know they can trust and rely on, one with solid reviews and one who provides them with every bit of information they need to feel confident.
When it comes to choosing a provider level, it is undoubtedly that experience trumps all.
The skill here is to accurately diagnose the problem and suggest the best course of action.
Invisalign is a medical device and tool in the hands of professionals. So theoretically speaking, the higher the provider, the better the outcome will be.
